About the Business
Alan and René Shackleton opened the surgery doors in April 2005. Both vets have extensive experience in all aspects of clinical practice. We have an active interest in maintaining and developing our knowledge and skills to provide an exceptional standard of veterinary care.
Alan and René have worked continuously in practice as veterinary surgeons since qualifying in 1990, gaining valuable experience and knowledge. They moved to the area in 1996 as it was close to Cambridge University where Alan studied to complete his post graduate qualification (Certificate in Veterinary Radiology) in 1998. The habit of continually improving our skills and knowledge for the benefit of the pets under our care has continued. During this period Alan was first an assistant in a veterinary surgery in Biggleswade and Sandy, and later became a partner in the Biggleswade and Sandy Veterinary Surgeries.
