Southill Vets Limited is a long established practice serving Wincanton, Gillingham, Milborne Port, Mere and the surrounding villages on the Somerset, Dorset and Wiltshire border. Since August 2014 thepractice has focused exclusively on pet and small animal practice. Our main branches at Wincanton and Gillingham are well equipped to cater for routine care and most pet emergencies and surgery. Milborne Port caters for more routine surgery. Consultations can be arranged at any of our surgeries.

We are open every night, every weekend and public holiday when your usual veterinary surgery is closed and are always here to care for your pet if they have an accident or become unwell. Jean, our receptionist has been here over 20 years so in many ways we are old friends to our clients - many of whom have placed generations of pets in our care.

As companion animals became a more important part of our work a new Veterinary Hospital was set up in Bournemouth in the 1960s. Mixed practice branches were also begun in Wareham and Swanage at thistime. Gradually, there has been a shift from large animal work, to the entirely small animal practices you see today. A further branch was opened in Verwood in 2002.
