
At Battle Flatts Veterinary Clinic, we pride ourselves for the friendly, caring and professional service that we provide at our four practices centred around Stamford Bridge near York. Our vetsprovide treatment for cats, dogs, horses, rabbits, rodents, birds, reptiles, aquatics and anything else that's unusual - including a 24 hour emergency service. Our purpose built centre is located adjacent to the river and was completed in 2005.

We are licensed by the UK Government's Animal Health Agency and defra and are fully insured to administer first aid to your pet and your pet is fully insured whilst in our care. We also have therelevant commercial insurance and are insured for you to travel with your pet free of charge. We carry copies of all insurance, relevant certificates and licenses. Yorkshire Animal ambulance operates terms and conditions which you are able to read at any time. Consent forms are completed for every journey.

The regulatory function of the RCVS means that our clients can be assured that our veterinary surgeons and/or veterinary nurses are properly qualified and fit to practice. It also offers reassurancethat our practice premises are part of the practice standards scheme and meet stringent standards. We hope to raise more than £500 for charities including the Himalayan Dogs Trust, Yorkshire Rose Dog Rescue and West Yorkshire Dog Rescue. Donations can be made at any of our three branches.

We are able to draw on many years of experience and use modern, state of the art equipment and facilities to ensure that your pet can receive the very best of care. In those days, vets dealt mainly with livestock and horses, and the premises were situated near tothe old cattle market in Friarwood. In the 1960's, J.G. Prescott, who purchased Ashleigh House (our main consulting building at the Pontefract site), founded the present practice.
